Artist Biography
Mixing punk, blues, grunge, and more into their own unique sound, the Bots were formed by Los Angeles-based brothers Mikaiah and Anaiah Lei in 2006, when vocalist/guitarist/bassist Mikaiah and percussionist/vocalist Anaiah were barely out of grade school; they recorded their first album when they were, respectively, 15 and 12. The duo recorded and released two more albums on their own, playing shows with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blur, Refused, and Bad Brains, and appearing at the Vans Warped Tour and Afropunk Festival along the way. The Bots signed to Fader and released the Sincerely Sorry EP in 2013. Pink Palms arrived in 2014 and featured production by Justin Warfield and Nick Zinner. ~ Heather Phares
