Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember a concert of Touré Kunda, a legendary senegalese Mbalax/Reggae band, where my father took us when I was 9 years old in Bx. It was big, the whole senegalese community and the locals celebrating together, and this rhythm, the dancers...
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bembeya Jazz National, Bembeya Jazz National Ti-Coca, Ti-Coca Verckys & L'Orchestre Vévé, Verckys & L'Orchestre Vévé: Congolose Funk, Afrobeat & Psychedelic Rumba 1969-1978 (Analog Africa No. 17) Impossible to choose 3 albums but well...Congo, Guinée Conakry and Haiti are represented. Maybe there's a Colombian record from El Brujo or Fruko missing here, plus a bunch of Jamaican, Guadeloupe and Panama stuff..and some soul, jazz, pop. Sorry !
