Tennis is a husband-and-wife indie-pop duo who turned their passion for sailing and travel into songs with a sophisticated, mellow sound.
∙ Inspired by a months-long sailing trip they took together, the duo wrote and recorded their debut LP, Cape Dory, in 2011.
∙ Young & Old, Tennis’ 2012 sophomore LP, was produced by five-time Grammy Award-winner Patrick Carney of The Black Keys.
∙ Their underground hit “Cured of Youth,” from 2013’s Small Sound – EP, appeared in episodes of Pretty Little Liars, About a Boy, and Switched At Birth.
∙ They performed a cover of Roy Orbison’s “In Dreams” with indie-rock band Twin Peaks at the 2015 star-studded tribute concert The Music of David Lynch.
∙ Yours Conditionally, from 2017, was the highest-climbing release of the duo’s career, hitting the Top 10 on Billboard’s Independent Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts.
