Artist Biography
Portuguese producer and composer Tee Lopes started out crafting hip-hop beats for aspiring rappers before falling into video game soundtrack composition, notably for Sega and the Sonic franchise. He was invited to work on his first game soundtrack in 2007, and he fell in love with the genre in the process. He fully transitioned into game composition after working on PagodaWest’s Major Magnet in 2013. Two years later, he had been asked to work on Sega’s Sonic Mania, kickstarting a longstanding work relationship with the company. He would go on to work on various Sega titles including Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare, Metal Slug, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge. He released an album full of originals in 2018 titled Youniverse.
