A Jamaican singer who blends pop, R&B, and reggae, Tami Chynn started out as a dancer touring with Shaggy, and appeared as a guest vocalist on recordings by Sean Paul, Beenie Man, and others, prior to releasing her 2006 debut album, OUT OF MANY...ONE. That album’s single, “Hyperventilating,” gained some attention, as did her 2007 single “Over and Over Again.” In ’08, Chynn signed with rapper Akon’s label, Konvict Music, for whom she recorded her second album, 2009’s PRIMA DONNA.
