Spanish rock foursome Tahures Zurdos was formed in the late '80s by singer/guitarist Aurora Beltran, who was previously playing in the female band Belladona, who disbanded after recording its debut album called Las Mujeres y Los Niños Primero. In 1988, after signing up to independent label Oihuka, Tahures Zurdos debuted with a self-titled EP, issuing Tahuria in 1990, including a special version of David Bowie's "Five Years." Around the same time, original bass player Luis Salcedo, was replaced by Juanma Ugarte. In 1991, the group recorded Nieve Negra, released by EMI, followed by 1992's Arido and 1994's La Caza. In addition, the band participated in Joan Manuel Serrat's tribute album, featuring "Fiesta." ~ Drago Bonacich
