In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Blowing my performing arts teachers minds out of the park at the age of 8 while singing Aretha Franklin's - R.E.S.P.E.C.T has to be one of the most memorable. It was so good they ended up never hiring another mature female vocalist to run it again.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Burna Boy, African Giant Danity Kane, Welcome to the Dollhouse Wizkid, More Love, Less Ego Each album has been very significant to my growth as an artist. I grew up as an R&B/Pop girlie and later got heavily influenced by Afrobeats once I switched continents. I can listen to all 3 albums back to back and have my own party.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “F****d Up” I'm most vulnerable. There was a time I lost myself as far as songwriting. I'd worry about what's expected of me as a female African artist. I felt I could not tell a guy "you got me f****d up". It was against everything I had been told to make it.
