Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is my grandma cooking in a Brooklyn kitchen, letting me play drums on her pots while she sang. She sang for the church, and in that kitchen, I felt like a superstar, surrounded by the rhythm and her love.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Wizkid, Made In Lagos Channel Orange, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and Made in Lagos trigger my synesthesia in a beautiful way. Each album builds its own world, blending sound and emotion, making me feel like I’m living inside the music.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment is working with generational talent in real time. I’m grateful for those experiences and stay present in the moment, knowing that when I reflect, I’ll realize how lucky I am to do what I love with the best in the industry.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? On my bucket list, I want to go to St. Thomas, Jamaica and create an album with all Jamaican artists. My goal is to showcase the true versatility of Jamaican music, exploring different genres and sounds to highlight the island’s rich musical culture.
