Veteran drum ’n’ bass DJ and producer Sub Focus has notched a string of Top 40 UK pop hits since arriving on the scene in the early 2000s.
• Sub Focus is the stage name of London native Nick Douwma, who got his start playing rock music before he began making beats as a teenager.
• He reached No. 1 on the UK dance charts with his 2005 single “X-Ray/Scarecrow.”
• His 2013 sophomore album, Torus, peaked just outside the Top 10 on the UK pop charts and reached No. 1 on the dance albums chart. The singles “Endorphins” and “Turn Back Time” were both Top 10 pop hits.
• In 2020, Sub Focus teamed up with DJ and producer Wilkinson for the joint album Portals, which reached No. 1 on the dance charts.
