About Sparklmami
Raised in Bryan, Texas, Ariella Granados brings a diverse collection of styles, influences and media together as Sparklmami. Musically, her work recalls vintage soul, funk and exotica, with a heavy dose of the bolero music she grew up with -- all buoyed by her expressive voice. Since moving to Chicago in 2014, she's augmented her nascent songcraft with a strong visual style, from unusual collages to a unique fashion aesthetic of long-fingered gloves that recalled aspects of the film Everything Everywhere All at Once. Sparklmami's early singles, "fajas" and "running," were both released in 2024, with the latter earning some viral attention for its unique sound. Both songs were incorporated into her debut album, in this body, released by Verve in 2026.
