Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was on a bus to a middle school basketball game and one of my friends showed me this song from Skrillex. I had never heard anything like it and I was so hooked I went home and started reading everything I could about making music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Diplo, Jack Ü, Skrillex, Skrillex and Diplo present Jack Ü ODESZA, A Moment Apart Porter Robinson, Worlds A Moment Apart from Odesza is my favorite album ever made. Being from Seattle I loved Odesza and always felt they made the soundtrack for the city. Odesza and Porter Robinson really are what introduced me to the emotional side of EDM!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “the wrong place to be.” I made this song right after a break up, I found the sample of the vocal and it just felt so fitting to how I was feeling at the time. The feeling that no matter where you go you are some how are in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I started working behind the scenes so I could make some money from music. Through that I got invited to Above & Beyond's Anjuna festival at the Gorge. Getting to see music I made played there in front of a huge crowd was so amazing and special!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Since I started making music my dream has always been to play at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. It was where I saw my first ever EDM show and I think its the perfect venue for my music!
