Italian punk band the Skiantos formed in 1975 at the very beginnings of the punk movement. In their early days, the group had a penchant for interweaving performance art into their live shows, including an entire set where the band set up a makeshift kitchen and then cooked and ate pasta without addressing the audience once. The band broke up and re-formed several times over the years. Their 2009 album Dio Ci Deve Delle Spiegazioni spent two weeks in the Italian charts, peaking at number 92. Guitarist and singer Fabio Testoni (aka Dandy Bestia) died on March 16, 2025, at the age of 72. ~ Fred Thomas
