In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 10 years old (early 80's), I was down Peckham market shopping with my mum, and the guy at the record stall was playing a 7 inch of Chic "Good Times" and my mum was dancing me round & round and we were having a really good time, so we bought it!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eric B. & Rakim, Paid In Full Expanded Leftfield, Leftism Massive Attack, Blue Lines (2012 Mix/Master) 3 albums I think 'Changed the Game'. ‘Leftism’ is the blueprint for modern electronic dance music. 30 years on it still sounds like the future. Ditto 'Blue Lines' in terms of depth, sonics & song. Rakim is the GOAT & this record still kicks so hard.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? DJ'ing at the 2000 Olympics party in Sydney and playing at Glastonbury. Also twice doing the Essential Mix for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1, and hearing any record of your own on the radio us always a thrill.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? TOP OF THE POPS! (only people of a certain age in the UK will understand).
