In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is listening to Michael Jackson's Bad album on tape cassette, aged 6 in the backseat of the car. I remember putting on these tinny little headphones and cranking the volume to try and drown out my parents arguing.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bilmuri, AMERICAN MOTOR SPORTS (420CC EDITION) Dr. Dre, 2001 Toto, The Essential Toto The Essential Toto is my musical bible. Too many incredible albums to choose from, this selection covers most but not all of their genius. Dre's 2001 shaped my formative years. Bilmuri is my latest obsession, this album is perfect from start to end.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Liar” This is the first song I felt confident enough to release as a solo artist, after years playing in other peoples bands. It was cathartic to write and an important stepping stone in my development as a songwriter + still a fan favourite at live shows!
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Releasing my debut album 'About Time' after years of writing and producing. On the same day of release, I shot a music video in Brixton Village then went to BBC Radio London for a live session + interview. A fulfilling day and great campaign launch.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm ambitious. My bucket list will never be empty. 1. Play Glastonbury, 2. Tour in different countries, 3. Produce & direct bigger budget music videos, 4. Write #1 global hits for other artists, 5. Write a West End/Broadway musical, the list goes on.
