About Sid Page
Violinist Sid Page is the perfect example of the type of musician who has reached the top of their professional world but remains almost completely unknown to the general public. In a recording career that kicked off in the late '60s, he released just one album under his own name, but he became a fan favorite for his work with Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks, and was also a member of It's a Beautiful Day. He later enjoyed a long and successful career as a session musician, accompanying everyone from Roy Orbison and Jerry Garcia to Danny Elfman and Suzanne Vega, and performed on numerous film and television scores. In 1984, he released a collaborative album with David Shelander, Odyssey, his first (and to date only) only project as a bandleader.
