Led by Ian Page and Dave Cairns, Secret Affair was one of the most creative neo-mod acts of the late '70s. The group made their debut supporting the Jam and playing gigs at Bridge House Tavern, centre of London’s mod revival. They appeared on the MODS MAYDAY live compilation and eventually set up their own I-Spy label through Arista Records. Their first single, "Time for Action," and their 1979 debut album GLORY BOYS, were both well received and became instant successes for both band and label. After two singles from 1982’s aptly-titled third album, BUSINESS AS USUAL, the band began to falter commercially and quietly called it quits.
