In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Oh, boy, its an embarrassing one. I was 12 and singing in a trio and my voice cracked BAAAAD. It stopped me for a long time from singing in public, but thank God he gave me new confidence and now I get to use my voice to impact others for his glory.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Crowder, Milk & Honey DC Talk, DC Talk: Greatest Hits MercyMe, Lifer DC talk was a big influence in my childhood - especially Toby. I love Crowder's uniqueness and MercyMe amazes me lyrically every time. I could have chosen many others such as For King and Country or Matthew West, but I only get 3.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “War of Thoughts” War of Thoughts was a big song for me because I was struggling at the time to believe that I was good enough to go on this music journey. God reminded me that HE has the final say. I still sing this song first every time I play to remind myself.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When "War of Thoughts" took off on YouTube, that was a big validator - like I had a story to share that could really impact people and that God could use me. It pushed me to keep going when I really felt like giving up early.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'd love to open for a band that has really impacted me or hear a song on K-Love, Smile, or Family Life Radio that I've either co-written or performed. I'm really just open to whatever God has in store.
