In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
My earliest musical memory was when I was around 8 or 9. My mom bought a small keyboard from a garage sale and brought it home, and I immediately fell in love with it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Frank Ocean, Blonde
Blonde by Frank Ocean opened my eyes to limitless creativity. Its genre-blending taught me that music doesn’t need to fit into a box. It’s been a huge influence on my creative process and reminds me of a happy time, making it even more special. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. “Over”
One of my favorite songs I’ve written is Over. I love it because songwriting and lyrics are key aspects of music for me, and I feel this track captures my emotions well and communicates exactly how I was feeling at the time. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
The most memorable moment of my career was my first show which was in my hometown of Charlotte, NC. I was nervous and unsure of what to expect, but the moment I hit the stage, I knew it was exactly where I wanted to be. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Yes, I have a ton on my bucket list, but a specific one is selling out Red Rocks Amphitheater. It would be a full-circle moment for me, given how many incredible performances I’ve watched there on YouTube. Achieving that would be a dream come true.
