Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad's a jazz musician. I always wanted to do something with Music. I started free-styling at parties in highschool and was good at it, so he suprised me and set up a studio in my bedroom for me. Been recording & performing ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? D'Angelo, Voodoo Dijon, Absolutely OutKast, ATLiens ATLiens pushed me to be myself as a emcee. D'Angelo's the goat. 'Absolutely' saved my life when i was heartbroken.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Juju (feat. BOLA)” This marked the beginning of a new direction for me. Since the release of this project, I’ve become a lot more vulnerable and introspective in my songwriting. It’s been really good for me mentally and artistically to let my guard down and just write.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening for Anderson .Paak at his first show in Seoul, South Korea.
