Pop star Sarah Connor is one of the most successful German singers of the 2000s. Ten of her 11 studio albums—and 14 of her 25 singles—reached the Top 10.
• Connor began singing in a church choir at age six. As a teenager, she and her sister were part of the backing chorus for Michael Jackson’s HIStory World Tour when the pop icon performed in Bremen, Germany, in 1997.
• The singer’s 2001 debut album, Green Eyed Soul, reached No. 2 on the German charts.
• Her fourth LP, 2005’s Naughty but Nice, was Connor’s first No. 1. The album yielded two chart-topping singles: “Living to Love You” and “From Zero to Hero.” The latter was the European theme song for the 2005 animated movie Robots, in which Connor voiced one of the characters.
• “From Zero to Hero” was Connor’s fourth consecutive No. 1 hit (and fifth overall), making her the only female German singer to have had four chart-topping singles in a row.
• After her eighth album, 2010’s Real Love, Connor spent two seasons as a judge on the German version of The X Factor.
• Connor resumed releasing albums with Muttersprache in 2015 and Herz Kraft Werke in 2019. Both reached No. 1 in Germany.
