A founding member of the Zombies, Rod Argent became the quintet’s principal composer, notably of the 1964 million-seller "She’s Not There." After the Zombies broke up in '69 he formed Argent, who enjoyed several hit singles during the early '70s, and conducted session work for the Who, the Hollies, John Williams, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. He released a '78 solo album and worked as Lloyd Webber’s principle pianist for a decade, before turning to film and TV scores. In the '90s, Argent reunited with Colin Blunstone and resurrected the Zombies in '04.
