About Rockin' Ron The Friendly Pirate
Artist Biography
In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first album was Yellow Submarine - half Beatles & half George Martin. The Beatles songs were fun, witty, and experimental, but so was the George Martin soundtrack music. It felt like it was meant for kids, but also for adults.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Rockin' Ron The Friendly Pirate, Captains and Sea Monsters Various Artists, Disney's Ultimate Swashbuckler Collection: Pirates of the Caribbean Various Artists, Rogue's Gallery: Pirate Ballads, Sea Song and Chanteys These feature Pirate and nautically themed music. Ultimate Swashbuckler is fun. Rogue's Gallery is serious and artistic. Captains & Sea Monsters has new songs I'm proud of, including She Can Be A Captain Too, Poop Deck Dance, and 5 Little Pirates.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Shark in the Dark” Kids like monsters and they like to be scared, and that's what this song is meant to do. But the song also has a catchy minor key blues riff and a 1950's vibe that adults can appreciate too.
