Robby Hecht formulated his earnest, Americana-tinged folk sound, one that nodded to artists like Joe Purdy and Damien Jurado, while he was a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He settled in Nashville, Tennessee after he graduated, and spent the next few years touring the country, sharing the stage with artists like Patty Griffin and Ron Sexsmith, and snagging various songwriting awards. Hecht's debut album, Late Last Night, was released in 2008 and featured appearances by some of Hecht's songwriting collaborators, including Mindy Smith, Thad Cockrell, John Deaderick, and Andrea Zonn, followed by Last on the Long Days in 2011. His third album, 2014's Robby Hecht, was produced by multi-instrumentalist Lex Price. Guitarist Will Kimbrough and many other musicians participated in the recording sessions. ~ TiVo Staff
