Featuring Doug Lubahn (vocals, bass), Ned Lubahn (guitar, keyboards), Werner Fritzching (guitar) and Mark Kaufman (drums), this group from New York, USA, released just one album of above-average melodic heavy rock. Vinyl Futures represents a mixture of styles, the closest approximation of which might be early Rush crossed with Foreigner. They are not to be confused with the Finnish band of the same title. Lubahn would go on to work with Billy Squier when Riff Raff bit the dust. Not to be confused with UK singer Billy Bragg’s first band of the same name.
