Artist Biography

A Swedish-American singer and songwriter with a soulful, brooding style, Rhys Clarstedt Frank is better known as simply Rhys. After charting in Sweden with singles including 2017's "Last Dance" and "Too Good to Be True," she released her debut album, the pop-oriented Stages, in 2018. It received a huge amount of radio play in Sweden while collecting millions of streams, and after a period of self-reflection, Rhys resurfaced in 2022 with a more indie rock-influenced sound on the EP Thanks a lot now I can't smile. A tenderer, singer/songwriter approach dominated 2024's Portland, named for her hometown of Portland, Oregon.
