Red Baraat are a New York-based ensemble known for their wild fusion of Punjabi rhythms, bhangra funk, jazz, Balkan wedding music, hip-hop, and punk. Led by dhol player, Sunny Jain and featuring a host of brass and percussion instruments, their second album, 2013's Shruggy Ji, topped Billboard's World Albums chart. Since then they have have became a beloved and energetic staple of festivals and stages around the world, with a clutch of acclaimed albums to their credit. Following 2018's fiery Sound the People, Red Baraat continued touring internationally into the 2020s, promoting their message of joy and unity.
