Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mom used to play retro bollywood songs all the time while working in the kitchen. As a child, I think I grew to love music because of her. As I grew up I found electronic music online and got fascinated by the idea of making music on a laptop.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Daft Punk, Random Access Memories Kanye West, The College Dropout Madlib, Beat Konducta, Vol. 3 & 4: In India The art of sampling, mixed with provocative lyrics, artistic grandeur and tight vision of the project is what gets me going. All of these projects have such an influential sound and stand the test of time which makes them my all time favourites.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Nada (feat. Roy & tobehoyejak)” The word 'Nada' in Sanskrit means 'Sound'. Whenever I'm down bad or depressed, this song provides me with a sense of optimistic nihilism. Also, Roy and Tobe go ham on this one in Bangla which adds a unique flavour to this soup of sound.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It has to be the love and craze that people have shown towards my music that I thought was so personal to me. Whenever they come up to me to ask for an autograph or click a picture, or just have a chat, it feels like I'm on the right path.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? So many things are left. I need to do an India tour and play abroad. Try out DJing, and release more projects. Release merch, setup a company. The list is pretty long!
