Releasing their debut album, RADIOS APPEAR, in 1974, Australian rockers Radio Birdman predated the punk explosion by several years. The band's amped-up bubblegum version of Motor City rock was, however, very much prototypical punk rock, and helped spawn a rich underground music scene in Australia. The band broke up shortly after their debut, but Michigan-born frontman Deniz Tek continued to play music on and off for decades afterward.
Members of Radio Birdman include, or have included, Deniz Tek, Warwick Gilbert, Chris Masuak, Rob Younger, and M Sisto.
