Formed in Zeeland in 1997, Dutch acoustic rock quartet Racoon began as the duo of singer Bart van der Weide and guitarist Dennis Huige before the pair relocated to Utrecht in 1998 and added bassist Stefan de Kroon and drummer Paul Bukkens to the lineup. Racoon's debut album, Till Monkeys Fly, arrived on Sony's S.M.A.R.T. imprint in 2000, followed by 2001's Here We Go, Stereo! (featuring the hit single "Eric's Bar"). Their third album, Another Day, arrived in 2005 and launched the band to superstardom, topping the Dutch charts and generating several hits including the breakthrough smash "Love You More," one of the biggest hits in Dutch chart history. Racoon issued their fourth album, Before You Leave, in 2008, followed by Liverpool Rain in 2011. ~ Jason Ankeny
