Calling his sound "angelic drill," Harlem's R2R Moe sing-raps with poetic and slippery cadences that make him stand out among his New York contemporaries. Moe made his commercial debut in 2022 on his own Road to Riches Entertainment label. In late 2023, after he had issued an album's worth of singles, he signed with IIIXL Studio, the Brooklyn-based label operated by A&R veteran Sickamore (Travis Scott, YG, Don Toliver). Moe made his IIIXL debut with "Fair2Me," and the next year issued Mr. R2R, a ten-track project highlighted by "It Is What It Is," "Masterpiece," and "Fair2Me." Road 2 Riches, Vol. 1 followed in 2025 and was led by "Miss Independent" and "Hawk 'Em." The former saw Moe team with British grime MC Skepta, while the latter featured a Kez Diddier beat with echoes of early U.K. dubstep.
