About PS1
Artist Biography
Peter Conigliaro learned to DJ when he was just 12 years old; by his late teens, under the tutelage of his friend DJ Skribble, he had honed his fusion of pop, hip-hop, and dance and became DJ PS1, a fixture in New York clubs frequented by celebrities like Diddy and Paris Hilton. His production career began in the early 2010s with bootleg edits of artists like Adele, but it didn’t kick off in earnest until almost a decade later, with 2020’s “Fake Friends,” a piano-fueled classic-house banger featuring Alex Hosking. A slew of floor-fillers followed, including remixes of Jessie Ware’s “Save A Kiss,” Little Mix’s “Sweet Melody,” and Elton John & Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart,” and in 2021, he and Hosking reunited for “Life Goes On,” another double dose of ’90s keys and upbeat vibes.
