Porcelan is a contemporary R&B singer and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. Her consistently refined and versatile approach to her genre has been supported and guided by soul legend David Porter. A native of Memphis, Tennessee -- specifically the Westwood neighborhood in South Memphis -- Porcelan had been honing her talent for several years when Porter signed her to Made in Memphis Entertainment. Working closely with Porter and fellow songwriter/producers Hamilton Hardin and DeNarious Holmes, Porcelan made her recorded debut in 2017 with "The Real Thing Don't Change," "The One," and "Can You Hear Me Now," dissimilar singles that respectively offered adult contemporary-styled balladry, pop-oriented R&B, and sparkling dance-pop. The following year, Porcelan performed at the South by Southwest music festival promoted with an EP. The highlight of the four-track release, a polished slow jam entitled "Lois Lane," was eventually issued on its own. ~ Andy Kellman
