Planetshakers is an internationally renowned contemporary Christian music group associated with the Planetshakers Church in Melbourne, Australia.
∙ Initially formed to provide worship music for the 1997 Australian Christian Churches conference, the group released their debut album, When the Planet Rocked, in 2000.
∙ Guy Sebastian, who sang with Planetshakers from 2002 to 2005, went on to win the first Australian Idol and become a massive star in the country.
∙ Their 2004 LP, Open up the Gates, received a Dove Award nomination for Worship Album of the Year.
∙ Nada Es Imposible, the group’s Spanish language remake of 2011’s Nothing Is Impossible, peaked at No. 17 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Albums chart in 2014.
∙ Planetshakers’ Endless Praise (Live) was ranked among Worship Leader’s list of the Top 20 Albums of 2014.
