About Pissgrave
Artist Biography
Heavy, raw, depraved, excessively violent, and aggressively inaccessible, Philadelphia's Pissgrave are one of the more extreme acts to emerge from the ethos of old-school death metal. With their self-titled cassette demo in 2014 (it sold out immediately and was reissued in 2020), the band captivated extreme music enthusiasts with their consciously lo-fi, Deicide-influenced riffing approach. 2016's Suicide Euphoria, on Profound Lore, drew almost as much attention for its disgusting cover art as its brutal sonic approach. Following festival tours in the U.S. and Canada, they entered the recording studio with producer/engineer Arthur Rizk. Pissgrave released Posthumous Humiliation in March 2019 and toured three continents before the pandemic. After returning to the road in 2021 for three long years, Pissgrave released Malignant Worthlessness in 2025.
