Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I would go to the record store with my dad every Friday and pick out a CD to buy. We would always listen to music together ranging from artists like Prince, 2Pac, K-Ci & JoJo and more. My musical curiosity led me to expand my musical taste further.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Marvin Gaye, Here, My Dear Prince, Emancipation Rick James, Street Songs Bonus Tracks Emancipation is what music sounds like when you are free to be who you are. Street Songs is the first album I heard with no-skips and showed me how to keep the music connected and flow. Here, My Dear showed me how you can express yourself in song.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Eye Dream of U” This song was written about my favorite person. It's hard to find words that can truly describe the way I feel about her, but this song definitely expresses a piece of how I feel.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Seddy Hendrinx invited me to open a show for him in Atlanta. Being in the room with big names and hearing them familiar with my work really inspired me to take my work to another level. Our friendship and the opportunity has pushed me to go harder.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I hope to be able to meet and work with some of the artists that I listen to such as Suga Free, André 3000, Carlos Santana, Smokey Robinson, Keith Sweat and many more. By connecting with them, I would advance my musical knowledge and my appreciation.
