Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Stepping on stage at the Vandalia Gathering for the first time in the fiddle contest. I was 5 years old and it was the first time I felt the life-giving energy from the crowd. I've been in love with that feeling ever since.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Frightened Rabbit, The Midnight Organ Fight James Taylor, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1 (Remastered) The Milk Carton Kids, Prologue I love great storytelling, so of course James Taylor has to make the list. The Milk Carton Kid's music has changed my life , truly. And one of my favorite bands all-time is Frightened Rabbit, from Scotland. MOF is a true gem. RIP Scott Hutchison
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Anymore” This song is about an old watch and a broken heart. It's dedicated to my grandparents and is one of my favorite pieces of songwriting. You'll absolutely relate to the lyrics and melody.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing the Bluebird Cafe for the first time was an incredible experience! Also, in January of 2023 I had the opportunity to play a feature spot on NPR's Mountain Stage! Singing with Kathy Mattea was a huge highlight for me.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? For sure! A dream of mine is to play one of my original songs in the circle at the Grand Ole Opry. The Ryman, Red Rocks, The Caverns, and the Hollywood Bowl are some of my other dream venues.
