From her early days with that dog. to her later collaborations with artists including the Decemberists, Foo Fighters, Sunn O))), John Zorn, and Bill Frisell, vocalist/violinist Petra Haden has made a name for herself as a versatile and distinctive artist. In addition to her multitude of collaborations, Haden also showcased her gifts for vocal harmonization on an a cappella cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'," as well as a front-to-back vocals-only cover album of The Who Sell Out. Throughout the 2010s and into the next decade Haden continued to explore, issuing eclectic solo albums as well as joint ventures with artists like Jesse Harris and Mark Kozelek. After a pair of releases with Australian jazz bassist Nick Haywood, she took another left turn on 2022's Devotional, a collaboration with Greg Anderson's doom metal project the Lord.
Petra Haden has also released music as a member of nearLY, The Collapsable Hearts Club, The Rentals, James Williamson and the Pink Hearts, That Dog., If By Yes, The Decemberists, The Haden Triplets, and Spain.
