Pepper is an alt-rock/reggae/ska trio that formed in Hawaii and subsequently relocated to Southern California.
∙ The video for “Ho’s,” from their laidback 2002 album, Kona Town, has notched more than 4 million views.
∙ At the 2002 San Diego Music Awards, Pepper was named Best World Music Artist, and the group took home Best Alternative Band honors in 2005.
∙ In 2006, they formed their own label, Law Records, signing fellow reggae artists The Supervillains and Passafire.
∙ Local Motion, their first appearance on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart, debuted at No. 1 in 2019.
Members of Pepper include, or have included, Bret Bollinger and Kaleo Wassman.
