With a set of songwriting parents such as Uruguay's Jorge Drexler and Spain/Sweden's Ana Laan, it's no wonder Pablo Drexler ended up taking the same road. Adopting the nickname pablopablo, he released an electronica-influenced self-titled mixtape in 2022. That same year he was awarded his first two Latin Grammys for his production contribution to one of his father's albums. A third followed in 2024, this time due to a co-writing credit for Argentine pop star Nathy Peluso. Heeding his friend C. Tangana's advice, he returned to more personal, guitar-and-piano based singer/songwriter material for his proper debut album. Heralded by the single "Eso Que Tú Llamas Amor," Canciones en Mi was released by the influential New York label Mom + Pop in mid-2025.
