Odd Mob’s tracks have a habit of going viral far beyond producer Harry Hope’s laidback homebase of Brisbane. First emerging as a duo in 2013, Odd Mob cracked triple j’s Hottest 100 countdown with 2014’s “Is It a Banger?” which sampled Aziz Ansari’s EDM-loving character from TV’s Parks and Recreation. After musical partner Robbie Jacobs departed a few years later, Hope carried on solo through more breakout moments such as 2022’s deliriously repetitive “Left to Right,” spawning a sheaf of remixes. Hope flexed a harder side on 2023’s aptly titled Club Rompas EP before linking up with Los Angeles producer OMNOM for 2024’s very playful The Unexplained EP. His remixes provide another rabbit hole to explore, often ramping up the club potential in his cleverly selected source material.
