Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being a toddler - not sure exactly how old - bouncing off the walls in the church while my mother was teaching the choir different parts at choir practice. I've known and understood harmonies my entire life and that's how. Thanks, mom!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Boyz II Men, CooleyHighHarmony Bonus Track Version Take 6, Join the Band Take 6, So Much 2 Say These albums changed the way I understood and connected to sound. I learned how to be a musician - how to be a LISTENER by breaking these songs down over and over in my mind. Learning every single part and how they worked together. Drove my mom crazy
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Forget About You (feat. Takeshi Matsubara)” I co-wrote this with one of my closest friends in Japan (Takeshi Matsubara). We got really drunk while listening to a piano track created by Jurrivh & started talking about ex girlfriends. I was still getting over mine and then this song happened.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Being flown to Tokyo, JP in 2017 to write and co-produce an experimental project with Sony Music Japan (called Unwork). It was 3months of some of the best times of my life as I was with friends who were more like family. The adventures we had were...
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Win a Grammy (as either writer, producer, mix engineer or a combination of any) in every major genre.
