About Notaker

Artist Biography

St. Louis-based Notaker (Dave Nothaker) produces shimmering, atmospheric EDM that is more reminiscent of the late-'90s/early-2000s heyday of progressive house and trance than the more aggressive or hedonistic dance music often associated with the genre. His tracks also have a suspenseful, cinematic quality to them, influenced by soundtrack composers like Hans Zimmer as well as dreamy electronic groups like M83. His debut single, "Oceanview Dr.," was released by Tommie Sunshine's Brooklyn Fire label in 2015. A self-titled three-song EP appeared on Positronic in 2016. He then signed to Vancouver-based EDM giant Monstercat, which released "Infinite" and "Gems." ~ Paul Simpson
