Expertly straddling the realms of Latin trap and reggaetón, Puerto Rican singer and rapper Noriel is one of El Movimiento's MVPs, collaborating with a continent-wide roster of hitmakers including El Alfa, Pailita, Trueno, and Bad Bunny. He was born Noel Santos Román in 1994, hailing from the neighborhood of Hato Rey, in San Juan. He jumpstarted his career at the age of 17 as part of duo Kenxiel & Noriel, which split a few years later but put him on the radar of Puerto Rico's formidable rap scene. Noriel's first taste of fame came in 2016 with his guest-filled Trap Capos: Season 1, featuring the blockbuster single “Cuatro Babys” performed alongside Bryant Myers, Juhn, and Colombian superstar Maluma. Though he released a successful sequel two years later, it was 2021’s Cerrando Capítulo that cemented his power-player status—showcasing dazzling bars and breath control on the introspective title track and striking gold once more with Manuel Turizo on smoldering perreo “Mala Influencia.”
Influenced by NorielNoriel has influenced the music of OAL, Brelui, Vlanko and more.
