Noh Salleh’s solo career might seem like something of a side-project when compared to the profile of his band Hujan—the scale is smaller, the sound more intimate, and Salleh takes his time with each release. He borrows from classic French pop and new age jazz, and sifts them through a Nusantara filter. But the brew of genres and the time spent on his most personal project to date paid off, and several years after its 2014 debut Angin Kencang went from cult EP to celebrated full-length album upon re-release.
Noh Salleh has also released music as a member of Hujan.
