Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I won 3 talent shows in my hometown back to back when I was 13 years old by performing songs that I had written and produced.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kanye West, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy Kevin Abstract, American Boyfriend: A Suburban Love Story OutKast, Speakerboxxx/The Love Below These are my favorite rappers of all time and when they made these albums, they pushed the boundaries of what a Hip Hop artist should sound like. That is what drove me to make the type of music I make.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ridiculous” I consider Ridiculous as my most minimalistic song but it has so much personality and it poses as my first song where I could just be comfortable with my own style. I did not try too hard when I made this song and yet it came out perfect.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing on the Cotton Fest main stage this year. It definitely pushed me to perform my music better and for a larger audience.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There are a lot of things left on my bucket list. Having to tour the whole world and perform for people that enjoy my music. Waving the South African flag everywhere I go because I take pride in where I come from.
