About nimino
Artist Biography
Nimino produces radiant house and downtempo tracks with touches of U.K. garage, hip-hop, and pop. Prolific since 2013, he advanced steadily with singles such as the tender "Time Heals" and "The Back of Your Hands" before he issued his first album, Rooms on the Ark, in 2021. After he signed with Counter Records in 2024, he broke through with "I Only Smoke When I Drink," an aching if ebullient track that enjoyed a 12-week stay on the U.K. pop chart. and lasted 26 weeks on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. The viral hit was featured on the generally beatific Creek EP, released in 2025. By that point, Nimino had been touring for several years in his native U.K. and abroad, particularly in the U.S.
