A seasoned collective of Toronto-based songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, New West emerged in 2017 with a sound rooted in multiple styles that span classic Britpop to contemporary indie pop and alternative R&B. The group issued their debut EP, Call Me When You Hear This Song, in 2019. Two years later, they broke into the mainstream with the alternative radio hit "Balenciaga." New West continued to refine their festival-ready Britpop sound on their first full-length effort, 2023's Based on a True Story.
