About Nena Daconte
Artist Biography
Named for a character in a Gabriel García Márquez novel, Spain's Nena Daconte is led by singer/songwriter Mai Meneses. Her literate, guitar- and piano-based compositions earned the project chart-topping hits and platinum-selling albums such as 2008's Retales de Carnaval. Over the years, Nena Daconte's sound grew more introspective on 2013's reflective Sólo Muerdo Por Ti and 2019's Suerte..., while 2020's "Hojas Secas" gave an electronic twist to Meneses' music.
