About Nebu Kiniza
Artist Biography
Riffing on the Biblical king Nebuchadnezzar, rapper/producer Cory Reid adopted Nebu Kiniza as his stage name. Born in Queens, New York in 1994, he later relocated to Atlanta with his family and began releasing mixtapes as a teen. Just a few years later, he hit it big with 2016’s “Gassed Up,” a low-slung yet charismatic earworm that went viral online before achieving platinum sales. He said it only took 15 minutes to make—working from a hypnotic MexikoDro beat—and yet there’s no doubting the hard work that goes into his seemingly nonchalant delivery. Observe his largely self-produced 2018 album From Me 2 U, which pairs spacey backing with rapid-fire flow, and 2024’s quietly confident Wasted Truth to hear the dependable results.
