The rap group NB Ridaz achieved modest success in the late ’90s thanks to a unique fusion of Latin music and hip-hop.
• Phoenix DJ, rapper, and Nastyboy Records founder MC Magic formed the group in 1995, after the release of his 1995 debut album, Don’t Worry.
• Under their original name, Nastyboy Klick, the group released two albums: 1997’s The First Chapter and 1998’s Tha Second Coming.
• Nastyboy Click’s 1997 single “Down for Yours,” featuring funk pioneer Roger Troutman, went Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Songs chart and cracked the Hot 100.
• They released Invasion, their first album under the NB Ridaz moniker, in 2001.
• In 2004, NB Ridaz released their final album NB Ridaz.com, before disbanding two years later.
